Your privacy on HeyChoozy

HeyChoozy is built for quick, useful public polling. We collect the information needed to keep your account, polls, votes, comments, and saved activity working, and we avoid asking for more than the product needs.

Effective May 24, 2026

What we collect

We store the basics that make HeyChoozy useful and reliable for you.

  • Account information. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your provider account ID and any email address the provider shares so we can create and protect your HeyChoozy account.
  • Poll activity. Polls, votes, comments, follows, saved polls, and profile activity are stored so the service can show results and keep your experience consistent.
  • Guest identity. If you use HeyChoozy before signing in, your browser may keep a lightweight guest ID so your local activity does not disappear immediately.
  • Browser storage. Your browser may remember drafts, recent activity, queue state, and preferences so the app feels fast and can recover from short offline periods.
  • Technical details. We receive routine request data, such as device, browser, IP-based network information, and timestamps, to load pages, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot reliability.

Why it helps you

  • Your polls can appear publicly, collect votes, and show results.
  • Your account can follow creators, save polls, write posts, and keep activity across devices.
  • Your drafts and queued actions are less likely to be lost if your connection drops.
  • Polls are harder to spam, manipulate, or abuse.
  • We can find and improve the parts of HeyChoozy that people rely on most.

Google and Facebook sign-in

Google and Facebook sign-in are used only to help you access your HeyChoozy account. We do not ask for your Google password or Facebook password, and we do not use sign-in to post to your Google or Facebook account. We use the account ID and any email returned by the provider to identify you, link future logins, and protect account features.

Browser storage in plain English

Browser storage lets HeyChoozy remember useful things like drafts and recent activity, so you do not have to type everything again. You can clear that storage from your browser settings whenever you want. If you clear your browser data, HeyChoozy may create a new guest ID instead of trying to recover the old one from device or network signals.

What is public

Polls, poll results, comments, usernames, public profiles, and published posts may be visible to other people. Your email address, provider account ID, session cookies, and routine technical details are not shown publicly.

Your choices

  • You can choose whether to sign in, create polls, comment, follow creators, or save polls.
  • You can clear local browser storage from your browser settings.
  • You can make profile choices available in the product, including supported privacy settings.
  • You can stop using HeyChoozy at any time if you do not want additional activity stored.

How long things stay

Polls, votes, comments, follows, saved polls, and account records may stay available while they are useful to you and to the people using HeyChoozy. Browser-cached data stays on your device unless you clear it. Empty guest IDs with no meaningful activity may be removed after 30 days.

How we protect the service

We may use automated checks, rate limits, moderation review, and basic security logging to reduce spam, protect poll integrity, and keep the product usable. These protections are meant to support real users and limit abusive behavior.

Questions or requests

If you have a privacy question or need help with account data, contact the HeyChoozy team through the support or contact channel provided in the product.
